Mindstorm Tutors was created by three educators, all of whom have multiple certifications and Masters degrees in Education. Our diverse histories and experiences that include social skills in business, media, entertainment and the arts, as well as teaching and private tutoring services, enable us to develop creative and innovative approaches to problem solving. Our tutoring services has helped students and their families in both Private and Public Schools traverse the road towards academic success.
We are well versed in the New Jersey Core Curriculum Standards, as well as the latest learning techniques, instructional strategies and technologies, but are also prepared to help our students adjust to any curriculum changes or additional requirements. We work with children of all levels of ability and are well positioned to assist with a range of situations from early intervention to at home support for special needs students to encouraging creativity in the gifted and talented.
About the founders of Mindstorm Tutors
Wendy Aul MA, Ed. Certified Elementary Teacher and Teacher of Students with Disabilities. Ms. Aul brings a unique perspective to the tutoring profession based on her extensive work with a wide range of students with mild to severe disabilities. This has enabled her to smoothly transition back and forth between mainstream and special needs classrooms.
Joanne Borsinger, MA, Ed. Certified Elementary Teacher and Teacher of Students with Disabilities. Ms. Borsinger has years of experience teaching students of all ages, including adults. Using brainstorming and creativity techniques, she has facilitated many workshops, focus groups, and seminars and brings a myriad of strategies to help your student succeed.
Lynn Geller, MA, Ed. Certified Elementary Teacher and Teacher of Students with Disabilities. Ms. Geller is also a graduate of the esteemed Shady Hill Teacher Training Program where she taught middle school humanities and art. Her multiple certifications and background in journalism and film contributes to her ability to connect with and inspire students of all ages.
